The Columbia Valley’s winegrowers have taken full advantage of their viticultural blank slate to experiment with virtually every grape variety under the sun. The region’s extreme landscape and challenging climate has provided the additional, unexpected bonus of producing wines that are uncommonly intense and true conduits of their terroir.
From the beginning, adventurous growers have experimented with unconventional blends, and both Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc have shown exceptional promise.
