RED BLEND - CALIFORNIA

REBELLION

Rebellion.jpg

Not many grapes can achieve the feat that Malbec has done after being replanted in the top sites of the New World - taste as good as (if not better) than its ancestral home in France.  Indeed, California winemakers have embraced its potential. A new regime has been installed, and Malbec’s potential as a blending grape has been realized.  Rebellion is a powerful, dark and silky-smooth red blend featuring Malbec that works equally well with food as on its own.

REBELLION WITH A CAUSE

Red Blends are becoming an obsession with some of California’s winemaking rock stars, many of whom have chosen to make wines in two hemispheres, sourced from famous New World locations – Argentina and California. But why?

Simply put, Red Blends create a completely different expression in the New World than the Old. Winemakers are obsessed with the levels of richness they can achieve under California skies, with the state’s generous sunlight and warmth allowing the grape to achieve levels of ripeness virtually unheard of in the Old World.  Rebellion Red Blend's story is one of struggle, to become known and to reach its vinous potential. The rebellion has been successful, and Rebellion Red Blend has succeeded in its quest to become the wine star that it always had potential to be.
