CABERNET SAUVIGNON - COLUMBIA VALLEY, WASHINGTON

KINDLED

Kindled.jpg

Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is all about balance. Like a vinous tightrope, Kindled straddles the line between the perfect ripeness of fruit found in California, along with the structure and elegance of the grape’s traditional home in Bordeaux. The geologic complexity of Columbia Valley give the Cabernets produced there an added element of flavor diversity and intricacy that further separates them from the rest of the world’s fine wine regions.

WINE PROFILE

The aromas and flavors of Kindled Cabernet range from dark fruits to kitchen spices, with a smoky, meaty undercurrent. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is ripe with fresh cherries, strawberries, cloves, and white pepper. A stunning, lingering, chocolatey finish with crunchy minerality and lively rockiness ends with a crunchy tannic edge.

FOOD COMBINATIONS

Venison, gratin dauphinoise, dishes featuring dried porcini mushrooms, buffalo burgers, mint-rubbed lamb.

KINDLED FIRE

Thoroughly flying under the radar, Washington State is somehow the second-largest wine producing state in the entire U.S., despite its relative late arrival to the scene. With only a handful of wineries operating as recently as the 1960’s, the growth has been meteoric!

You get the feeling talking to local winemakers that Washington’s ability to consistently produce world-class wine is comically underrated – with 300 days a year of sunshine, a warm-yet-dry growing season and cool nighttime temperatures that modulate sugar accumulation, it’s almost as if the wines make themselves. Kindled Cabernet Sauvignon celebrates its origins by transporting you to this very special place that the grapes call home.
