Despite being a relatively recent arrival, Pinot Noir has acclimated itself exceptionally well to the mild weather and virgin soils of Coastal California. It’s almost as if the grape has taken on the same laid-back, mellow personality of the state’s residents themselves. First Flight is silky, spicy and elegant, providing easy gratification and up-front drinkability.

First Flight California Pinot Noir pairs well with:

  • Salmon

  • Roast chicken

  • Beef bourguignon (of course!)

  • Spiced Squabs with onion compote

ABOUT THIS WINE

PERSONALITY: Congenial, graceful, fruity and satisfying

 

COLOR: Translucent bright crimson

 

NOSE: Wild berry, red cherry, earth, rose

 

PALATE: Silky smooth and delicate, polished and elegant. On the palate, red fruit and hibiscus tea notes dominate, with a mushroom character emerging on the precise, detailed finish.

 

TERROIR: Cool coastal valley


GRAPES: 78% Pinot Noir, 10% Syrah, 8% Petite Sirah, 3% Chardonnay
